Hello,

I recently purchased an AMD Athlon II X3 450, which is an AM3 chip, to be used in my Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 mobo, which is an AM2 slotted board, but according to the mfg, is compatible with the most recent BIOS, which I am running. The system is also using 4 sticks of ram, a PCI sound card, and a EVGA GTX 460. with a 450W power supply. when i put in the chip and boot up, my monitor never picks up a signal and stays in sleep mode. nothing on my current build because when i put my old cpu (AMD Athlon 64 3800+) back in, everything runs fine. What could the problem be?
