Need to install keyboard without old one

Hello,


I have someone elses computer which I didn't get the keyboard and mouse to. I tried to install new ones (both wired and wireless) and when the computer comes up Windows wants permission to install them, the problem is it won't recognize the keyboard or mouse to give Windows the permission to install the new ones. Catch 22 - Windows wants permission to install but won't allow them to work to give the permission to install. Tried function mode & safe mode but no keyboard response. Any suggestions, please?

Hello Cindy,

What is your operating system ? Windows...?

Were you logged in as administrator ?

What is the brand and model of the keyboard and rodent you are trying to install?
