Internet does not work, but network is connec

Hello,

I am having difficulty connecting to the internet from my laptop (dell inspiron). The other computers at my home are able to connect. Neither Firefox or Internet Explorer allow me to visit the internet. I have looked for online help and have downloaded the winsock repair and reset browser but it is still not working. Can someone please help? I read other people have fixed this problem but I cant. My laptop says it is connected to the network but my internet is not working. I have reset router, rebooted several times and nothing.... Please help me!
