Ssound problem

Hello,
i have the sound problem in my compac laptop preserio.i can hear the sound through head phone,when i unplugged
the head phone i can not hear the sound directly from the laptop.i am using windows vista.please somebody give me tne answer.

Some iPod headsets have a pug that is longer than standard. When inserted in to a laptop this longer plug deforms the prongs inside the laptop which results in no sound from the internal speakers. My guess is that you have this problem. Some people have reported that using another (shorter) headset plug and QUICKLY inserting and removing the plug can fix the problem. But, too much force can break things completely. Good Luck.
