Damaged flash drive

Hello,

I think my USB has somehow been damaged. Is there anyway to fix or at least be able to access all the stuff I had saved on it?? PLEASE HELP

There is missing essential information.

What type of USB ? HDD? Pendrive or flashdrive?

Sorry, it's a flash drive. The brand is 'My Flash'. It's one of those very skinny drives that are about half the size of your topical flash drive so it only takes half the space in the USB port and is less protected. I did have a friend try to recover the information I had saved on it with Recuva but it couldn't pick up anything. I'm guessing it got scratched when it was in my purse without it's plastic cover. Any ideas on how I can recover what I had saved on it?

Hello

Try this:

Right click My computer > Management > Disk management > select your drive > right click "change drive letter and paths" then Rename it to a different letter and it should open.
