Network for 2 computer

Hello,

I have 1 Laptop ( Vista) and 1 Desktop with Ubuntu. Desk top is connected through LAN and Laptop has wireless connection. I want to link both for file sharing..how I can do it easily?

if u want to connect via lan then use bridge connection
or
if u want to connect via wireless then buy another wifi usb usb
after buy the bridge/wifi usb hub
then go to control pannel
then network and sharing center
uncheck/off the option protected sharing
then choose filesharing on and net discovery on

remember that use the mathod for both computer(laptop&desktop)
i think the process will solve ur problem
and another thing that, u must buy one of the above modem to connect the both
