Major Problem!

Hello,
I have a toshiba laptop given to me by a friend.
The Master Admin (also the admin only accessible by safe mode) is password protected. there are no other users and he has no idea what the passwords are. theres one more problem, there is no floppy disk drive or cd drive so i cant use any password reset disks or password bypass disks. its one of those tablet laptops without any major drives.
I would like to totally reformat the computer and put Ubuntu (lynix) on it.

Any Ideas are much appreciated!

There are various free Windows password recovery software out there. Have not used any, but I know they claim to work well.
