Hello,

My name is Landon, and I have some issues I hope one of you in the Kioskea community could help me with.

I just inherited a Dell XPS M1330 Laptop from a family member. It runs great, here are the specs:

Intel Core2Duo CPU 1.66Ghz
2GB DDR2 RAM
4.98 Total Virtual Memory
3Gb page file
Intel 965 Chipset Family

Internet = 1490 Dual Band WLAN Mini Card
Standard Ethernet Port

My issue is, that certain websites I visit, I get an error stating "Cannot connect to network."

Some of the websites are:
www.joymax.com and all sub-domains
www.cnet.com
www.cengage.com
www.cengagebrain.com
etc.

Please help ASAP.

What Internet security software are you using? If possible I suggest you return all settings to their default values.

I assume you are using internet Explorer. You might try downloading Firefox or Chrome and see if you still have problems.

Java or Internet "helper" based malware can also cause symptoms like this. As a start you can download and run Malwarebytes it will scan your computer and remove suspect programs.

Good Luck
