network adapter Closed

Hello, 
Just bought toshiba laptop from friend and cleaned out drivers to do a clean install. But i cannot connect to internet because my network adapter needs to be updated, I assume, but i cannot locate the info for the network car to have it updated. I followed steps to locate info, went into control panel and to hardware then device manager, and the network adapter was supposed to be in that list but it is not. I do not see it anywhere. I'm beginning to think that this thing doesn't even have one, but i dont know too much about computers or laptops for that matter so please help...

Hello,

Try this 1

If the network adapter option is missing in the device manager then install the 

network drivers. You can download the drivers from the manufacture's website.

Click on the below link

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp

Click on "Download" and follow the instructions.
