My disc drive on my dell studio 15 won't work

Hello, I have a dell studio 15 laptop, I got it in 2010, and well, I'm desperate to play The Sims and whenever I put the disc into the disc drive, it won't even let me open the thing back [I've gotten the answer to opening by the eject on my drive] But, whenever I put it in there it won't let me push the button for it to come out, [like I said I can get it out] but anyways, it won't run, so I really need help, thanks.
