Not able to download anything

Hello,
Purchased a laptop for my husband to take over seas and can't get free anitvirus to download, couldn't get mozilla downloaded, and get the same message. "Security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded. How to i fix this issue because I didn't change any setting that I know of since we got the laptop.

Hello,

That may be a Windows error message. Firefox can use Windows security policy settings when downloading files, resetting system internet security settings may help. For details of a couple of methods see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files#Reset_system_Internet_security_settings_-_Windows
