Hi,
I had my cousin experiencing this same trouble and he simply restored the phone back to factory settings and it was alright.
However, he lost the applications that he had installed on it. For this, you may back up the applications that you have installed on it. No need to worry about the applications that were initially on it, it will be on the phone after the reset.
I am not a cellphone technician but this will surely get the problem solved.
