Android touchscreen stopped working.

Hi all. I have this android phone for about 5 months now. it was working fine. However lately the touchscreen got messed up. I had to press everything underneath the things i wanted to get the result instead of touching the actual icon or phone numbers. The keyboard also is frustrating. I tried pulling out the battrey but nothing solved my problem! then I went to reset factory settings. The phone restarted asked me for calibration touch and after that the phone restarted. Now I can't unlock the phone to start coz the touch screen is not responding. Can some one help me please?
