Toshiba L305 black screen!

Hello,

This laptop will only load the Toshiba screen then next sceen will stay black with underscore on top left corner. An suggestions to fix before having to take an IT person??? Have tried taking out battery and restarting without and holding the power and ESC botton, nothing has worked. Help please!!

Hi,

You must remove the battery and cable then hold the power button 58 seconds. You then replace the battery and boot.
