Hi paraerooper,

To watch the Video on the external monitor follow the steps below:

1. Make sure the TV is powered on, and then plug the TV cable into a video port on your computer.
2. Press the Windows logo key + P on the keyboard.
3. Select how you want your desktop to be displayed:

a. Computer only (This shows your desktop only on your computer screen.)
b. Duplicate (This shows your desktop on both your computer screen and a TV.)
c. Extend (This extends your desktop from your computer screen to a TV.)
d. Projector only (This shows your desktop only on a TV.)

4. Check if you get any video on the TV.

For more details you can check the below mentioned link also:

Hi paraerooper,

Is the video driver up to date in your machine? Try updating the video driver and check if it makes any difference. If you need help in finding the correct driver for the video card do reply with the Device Instance ID of the video card in your laptop.

To get the Device instance ID of the video card:

1. Right click the "Computer" icon on the Desktop.
2. Select "Manage".
3. Select "Device Manager" under "Computer Management" from the left pane.
4. Then expand "Display adapters" from right pane.
5. Right click the Device listed under "Display adapters".
6. Click "properties".
7. Go to the "Details" tab, and then select "Device Instance Id" from the drop down list.
8. Make a note of this Device Instance ID.

Please do write back to us.
