I mistakenly restored my sound device to default settings

Hello,
While trying to fix the lack of sound in my HP laptop dv6700 about an hour ago, I clicked on restore default settings only to realise I'd uninstalled the sound device, such that I can no longer play any audio files with my Windows media system.
I have tried system restore options dating back to over a month, with no luck, please I need some help from the members.

I wonder how you managed to uninstall a driver by clicking on restore settings and I'm not sure if I would like to know.

Anyhow, go to the following Canadian HP site and download the driver you need.

Just click on support and drivers:
