Hi sammmiy21,

Sometimes, if the SD Card is write protected it is not possible to format it. Please check the below mentioned article for steps on how to remove write protection from an SD Card:

https://ccm.net/faq/669-unable-to-write-on-secure-digital-sd-memory-card

If the issue is still not fixed, please reply with the Model Number of your SD Card and any error messages that are displayed when you try to format the card.

Please do write back to us.

Hi Zohaib!
I don't think it will be possible 'cause i lost its reader!though, its reader is just a reader, it cannot unblock the write protection.
But anyway, I want you to know it is made in taiwan.

Thanks anyway

Hi sammmiy21,

Try the below mentioned steps and see if you are able to remove write protection:

1. Click "Start".
2. Click "Run".
3. Type "CMD" and hit Enter.
4. Type "Diskpart" and hit Enter, this will open another window.
5. In this new window type "List Disk" and hit Enter.
6. Make a note of the disk ### for your SD Card.
7. Type "Attribute disk clear readonly" and hit Enter.
8. Type "Select disk ###" (### is the number of the USB pen drive you've plugged in) and hit Enter.
9. Restart the computer and see if the pen drive works.

Do reply with results.
