Last night, Windows 7 was installed in my Dell INSPIRON 3420 laptop. But now, my Bluetooth doesn't work. When i want to install Bluetooth driver, it shows me a warning message, where "Activate Bluetooth using wireless switch" is written. How can i resolve this problem? Please notify me.

Hi Fourkan,

Please Press < Fn >< F2 > on the keyboard to enable the wireless radios(s). This will switch on the Bluetooth on your computer.

Please reply if you have any further queries.

Hi Zohaib,
I,ve done this before posting this question. But, i cann't understand why doesn't it work properly. I also tried to setup this driver from C:\Dell\Drivers\WTD28\Win64\Inst.exe. Laptop took setup successfully, but Bluetooth doesn't work, find no device, & mobile cann't find out laptop. If i try to setup driver from C:\Dell\Drivers\WTD28\Setup.exe, it shows me warning- "Activate Bluetooth using wireless switch".
If i want to do "Turn of the Bluetooth adapter" from 'Bluetooth Settings', it shows me a warning message - "An error occurred while windows was saving your settings. The Bluetooth device might be unplugged." Last sentence may be considerable.

Hi Fourkan,

Your computer has one "Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)/Bluetooth combo card". As you are receiving clear warning about the Bluetooth card being unplugged, loose connections might be the cause of the problem. If you are comfortable working with the internal components of the computer you can re-seat the mini-card yourself, else you can have a technician do this for you. You can find instructions on re-seating the mini-card on page number 37 of the "Owner's Manual". You can download/view the "Owner's Manual" by clicking here.
