what OS you're using now? maybe they are hidden and u need to "show hidden files and folders" and first of all, check your folder size. if there is something it must not be 0.

i am using win xp. the system is telling that the folder is empty

Hello,
Try this 1
If the "Folder Properties" is showing you as 0 Files, 0 Folders then the files might
have been moved to another location or got deleted.
Don't make any changes to that drive.
Perform recovery scan by using the "Recuva" application. If you can see the
deleted files in the scan result then all your older files got deleted. Recover the
deleted files after the scan process.
Click on the below link and download the file.

Perform "Deep Scan".
