Making a counter in Excel..

To Whom this may concern,

I have been trying to make a counter on excel. I have been reading some of your posts but they talk about counter with an end date, my dilemma is I do not have an end date..

I would really appreciate any assistance you or anyone from your group might help me with..

I was using this formula but have only been able to get a -number.

=(b3-today())

b3 is my date line..

any assistance to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
