Boot screen black after been beaten by rain

Hello, I have toshiba tecra A11-s3522 and I hibanated it and was in my bag. I was beaten heavily by rain and I believe the rain entered the machine. When I got home, I tried switching it on and it wont work.
I removed the battery and replaced and all that happens is blinking battery light.
Please what do I do, simeone should kindly help.thanks

Hello,

Try this 1

Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power button for

60 seconds --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and

later put the battery back into the laptop.
