Hi, I was recently tinkering with my computer trying to clean up space on it an dI think I may have deleted something important :/ every time I try to open my Downloads file I get the message
X Explorer.EXE
this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Pleas einsatll a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel.

Also I noticed that the icon for my downloads file is not the same as before...it is just an icon of a blank page with the corner folded over. any help would be much appreciated. thank you so much

Hello,

Try this 1

1) When the option appears prompting you to select the OS then select

Windows 7 and press F8 key to go to "Advanced Boot Options".

2) Select the option "Repair Your Computer" and press Enter.

If the problem still exists then let me know if you are able to open any other

applications and also let us know the complete error message.

Good Luck

If there is any application setup file then try to open it and check if you are able to get the installation window without any error message.
Try to open any installed application example : Office and let us know that you are able to open it without any error message.

Have you tried "System Restore" ?
Good Luck.
