Denny's syrup togo containers suck.

My daughter spilled syrup from a denny's togo container. (they are really hard to open) on her laptop keyboard. I cleaned it with isopropenal alcohol and keys are not sticky but a lot of the keys do nothing. as you go across the top the one key makes a funny mark, 234 do nothing and then 5, and 6 work the nothing is there any HP short cuts she might have hit in a panic. I immediately took the battery out and unplugged the laptop when she called me...Is there any hope?
