Hi,
Normally, if you enter the reset code, you will initiate a factory reset. It means that the phone will be as the phone you bought: no applications, no contacts, no SMS, no media (photos, videos,...), etc.
But, if you're an Android user:
- you will retrieve your applications easily (they're attached to your Google account)
- you can save, before doing the operation, your contacts in your Gmail account
- you can use, before doing the operation, an application like SMS Backup&Restore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore
