Hi,
I have an old desktop (Windows 98) without an external USB port,CD/DVD player, or Wireless/Bluetooth facility.
I have a laptop with all of the above, but with no access for a floppy.
Now, I cannot understand how to transfer data from my Desktop to Laptop.

Is there a way I can connect the desktop and laptop with a network cable and get going ?

I'm new to such situations, so please guide in detail.

Thanks

Good Morning.

You will need hardware. Either A crossover cable, or 2 cat5 patch cords, and a workgroup hub. It is about $45(us). This assumes you have an ethernet controller on your win98 machine.

Post back when you have all of the required hardware.

Thanks. I'll gather the needed h/w and revert.
