a while ago I dropped my laptop. when I try to turn it on, the power led comes on and the charging leds works but the hdd led doesnt turn on and the screen just stays black during the whole time. the fans works aswell, I dont know whether the problem is with the screen or the motherboard, but im sure that the hard drive works fine

Very sorry to hear that you dropped your laptop I hate when my laptop breaks my laptop is also broken and it does suck and I know how it feels.
Ill do my best to help you!

Your screen might have been broken or some cables going to your screen might have been broken or removed.

To solve this follow this:

Attach a screen to your pc and see if it works if it does then get your laptop to a repair shop and say your screen does not work.

Thanks for your reply. I decided to take out screen and I put it into another laptop of mine and the screen works fine . I completely took apart the laptop and checked all the cables were in place and they were. Have you any idea what it could be know.

Your motherboard is not getting any signal. Try to see if any ram sticks hasn't moved while the laptop was dropped. If not then it might be a motherboard issue.
