Dell Studio 1555 black screen with flashing cursor

My laptop was working fine, then one day while listen to music (which was already on it) it decided to reboot itself. It will get to the Dell Studio page and then go black with a flashing cursor in the upper left corner. I have tried the F8 key and nothing happens. I've tried booting from the CD-ROM drive and nothing. I can get into "Boot Options(F12)" and "Set-up(F2)" Can anyone help me?

I suggest you run the Dell hardware diagnostics. I suspect a failed hard disk. You should be able to start the diagnostics thru F12.
