Weird thing - Why does my PC run OK on such spec?

hello,
so i have a prety bad pc
intel core 2 duo E4500 2.2GHz
Nvidia GeForce GT 9600 512 MB
and 2 GB ram.

but i can play things like outlast max graphics no lag. COD max graphics no lag. i wanna know why i have such good performance with a bad pc! even thay say quad core or higher, my pc just runs it with these specs!
so why is it? just wanna know :D

Because you have a good graphic card and sufficient ram
