Free download photo editing

I would like to know which is the best software to download to do the following:

place another person in an existing photo
fix the background
fit the person added in photo to be the same size as the other person
photo editing- making a person look slimmer,
removing wrinkles etc

I have been searching the web but there are so many that I am completely confused. Please can you advise me.
