Getting black screen when my laptop is turn on

Hii iam using dell inspiron 153521 morning my laptop was working properly .again i opened my lappy on evening when i power on , the screen is black and showing nothing
Someone suggested me from this site when this provlem happens
1.unplug the charger
2.remove the battery
3. Hold sown the power button for 30 sec to 2 minutes
4. Then keep the battery and power on


I tried this ..... but its not working ...... can anybody help any alternative method if u have plss...
