Hello,
When I turn on my laptop, my sound (from the laptop and even when I plug in external speakers) doesn't work. It takes some time but the sound will randomly start to work. I've done sound tests but it says my speakers are currently being used by another application when I have nothing opened. I am using a hp envy m6

What programs are running in the back ground? Perhaps an application is not compatible win Win 8?
