From your photo it says you're holding down Alt Gr.
if your keyboard is typing multiple characters on one stroke then it is a hardware fault.
what happens if you use a USB keyboard?

not tried usb keyboard as not got one but not holding down alt just managed use laptop virtual keybord one minute its ok next its not
