Hello,

I have an older HP Pavillion model dv9700 running Vista that I haven't used in quite some time. I would like to donate it but I am having some issues with it. When I power it up, I get all the start up LED'S and the fan starts but at that point it powers down then on again. It starts then stops repeatedly. Any idea as to what may be causing this?

I suggest that this a power supply issue that only a technician can look into unless you believe you can do it yourself.
