I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop running Vista. My usb port stops charging my Iphone when it in sleep mode.Is there any way to change this to charge anytime the laptop has power?

Hello,

Try this 1

Click on Start --> In search bar, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

"Device Manager" will be opened.

Expand "Universal Serial Bus controller" --> Double-click on "USB Root Hub" -->

Click on the "Power Management" tab --> Uncheck the check box "Allow the

computer to turn off this device to save power" --> Click on OK.

Good Luck

There are 5 USB Root Hubs and none of them had the ability "To turn off this device to save power" checked.
