Yes you do. It is the username and password of the opposite machine.
So if one laptop is named POS with username of FREDISA, the credientials would be POS\FREDISA, with FREDISA's password.
See?

sorry i am very new... only password for windows i hav where to put the user name
Didn't find the answer you are looking for?
Ask a questionThis is an exampe of what and where.
Remember, YOU_LAPTOP is one Laptop name, and POS is the other. To really simplify things, make the same user (EX: FREDISA) on both machines, with the same password. No when you are on laptop1 and wish to connect to laptop2, your credentials on laptop1 would be \laptop2\FREDISA with password, and laptop2 would be \laptop1\FREDISA with password. But, that is not scallable with a large network or alot of machines, so only use it in the private home network environment.
I hope this helps.

hi ... i got bot the computers on each other but still the user name and password is the issue.... should i open a new user from contrll panell????
Yes, make a new user on each computer, set the password, do not leave it blank.
Laptop1-make a user (EX:UserOne)
Laptop2-make a user (EX:UserTwo)
When laptop one make connection to laptop2, use the following credentials on laptop1: Laptop2\UserTwo
When laptop two make connection to laptop1, use the following credentials on laptop2: Laptop1\UserOne
I hope this helps!
