PC FROZEN windows cannot find files x86

Hi, my wife has a Lenovo G550 laptop. Model20023 with windows 7 home basic. When she opened her pc it says windows cannot find files x86. She lost everything, the files are there but if she clicks on it, it says empty and she never downloaded anything and she hasn't been on the internet neither so i supose it can't be a virus. Could somebody please be so kind as to give advice on how to retieve her files.

Hello

Looks like an operating system corruption.

Try to boot in safe mode and use the repair option, failing that, use the recovery disks and attempt a repair.
