Cannot open files is Pen Drive

The Files are copied on the pen drive and can be seen.
But when I try to open them the message displayed is:
"The File Format or File extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted & the file extension matches the format of the file"
I have already tried formatting the pen drive but it does not work.
Please help

Could you tell me what is the file format of the pen drive? Try formatting the drive through the cmd. I leave you details in the link below.
