Hp 2000 will not turn on....

I left my computer on overnight and i never closed it. The next day I noticed to battery going dead and it had an X on the battery on the screen. Finally I went to grab my charger and when I plugged it in the computer 2 ant charging, so now when the charger is plugged in and i press the power button the power button quickly flashes green and than turn off. And the screen will not turn on. Please help me!

some charges will not charge and run the laptop at the same time. I suggest you try charging only for several hours.
