Lenovo display is blank when switched on

Hi guys

When I switch on my laptop, the blue light comes on, fan runs for a few seconds then it stops while the screen remains black.

Sometimes both the light and fan switch off the same time then when I switch it on again the second time only the fan goes off but the blue light stays on and the display is just black.

I tried removing the battery and pressing the power key for 1 minute and nothing changed when I tried to switch it on.
