Hi,

I recently came to to know to rectify system slowness and hanging issue we should get it's RAM upgraded and for Lenovo G450 Laptop model we should have latest RAM Two 4GB RAMs of Crucial company replaced with it's existing 2GB and 1 GB RAMs. Also I came to know that Windows 7 would be the best fit considering the limited hardware configuration of this lenovo G450 Laptop model and Windows 10 is causing this slowness and hanging of my lenovo G450 Laptop model currently and also there is just free space of 6.81 GB in my C drive so these could be the reasons for Slowness and hanging issue of my Lenovo G450 Laptop model.

But Could soomeone please help by clarifying as soon as possible which one is the latest model for this Lenovo G450 model either DDR3 PC3-12800 CL=11 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR3-1600 1.35V) or Crucial 4GB 1600MHz DDR3L 204-Pin Laptop Memory (CT51264BF160B) because as per Amazon mobile app laterone (Crucial 4GB 1600MHz DDR3L 204-Pin Laptop Memory (CT51264BF160B) is the newer RAM model but as per crucial company (https://www.crucial.in/compatible-upgrade-for/lenovo/lenovo-g450) (DDR3 PC3-12800 CL=11 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR3-1600 1.35V) is the latest model for this Lenovo G450 laptop model.

Could someone please help regarding the above please also will Windows 10 still be slow on this Lenovo G450 Laptop model evenafter above RAM upgrades or with combination of SSD and RAMs it should work fine?

Thanks much....

Hi,

You should choose the Crucial DDR3L RAM memory as recommended by them.

DDR3L is a dual voltage capable memory that can operate at both voltage - 1.35V and 1.5V. However, a DDR3 memory will not support voltage lower than 1.5V.

To check the voltage that your laptop is currently using, you can download CPU-Z.

By increasing the RAM capacity of your laptop from 2GB to 4GB, Windows 10 should be much faster and you will see an improvement.

Before considering replacing the hard drive, defragment it and run disk cleanup to free up space. You can also download CrystalDiskInfo to check its health status.

If after some times you still see slowness and difficulties in performing tasks, a SSD will be recommended.

Let us know if you have any other question.

Hope this helps.
