I want use date 201201, how can this will be set in Execl Format.

please help me.

2012 is year what is that 01 is it Jan or first date in the year
the date should have year month and date

for e.g. 20121101
is 1st november 201

in that case you type a f;ormula

=date(2012,11,01)
and enter
and see formula bar.

you can format the date anyway you like
