Cd drive won't read my cd: Windows 7

I have a Lenovo laptop, intel centrino. Whenever I place my cd, it displays a cd icon next to my mouse icon, like when the laptop's reading it. But it won't start, and I tried to access it on my computer, and it just said "Insert a disc". I'm not very familiar with computer hardwares :(

Is this a problem with ONE CD or with ALL CDs?
