You can try the steps below:
1.Remove the AC adapter and battery from your HP Pavilion dv6000. Hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to perform a hard reset. Reconnect the adapter (but not the battery) and attempt to turn on your system. Look for powered LEDs beside the "caps lock" and "num lock" keys while listening for hard drive and fan spooling noises. If this fails, proceed to the next step.
2.Disconnect the AC adapter again. Turn your laptop over and remove the screws holding the cover plates for the RAM and hard drive bays, then remove the plates.
3.Ground yourself by touching a metal object that is touching the floor, then remove the RAM memory chips. To do this, spread the clips holding the chips in place using a fingernail or small wooden tool until the chip pops up on one side, then lift the card out of its socket. Be careful not to touch the contacts along the chip's edge. There might be more than one card nested in the cavity. Use the same steps to remove all of them.
4.Remove the hard drive by removing the retaining screw indicated in the User's Manual and sliding the drive out of its bracket.
5.Reseat the RAM chips one at a time. Insert the golden contacts into the bracket, then press gently but firmly down on the surface of the chip until the tabs click into place. Repeat for all memory chips.
6. Reseat the hard drive by sliding it back into its socket and reinserting the retaining screw, then replace the cover plates over both the RAM and hard drive bays. Reattach the AC cable and attempt to turn on your system again.
7. If the screen goes black after your system has been running for a while, check for excess heat. It can sometimes cause this problem.
See if it helps? Hope this can help you.
