Hey gerrythomas. Do you get any error messages? I need a bit more info on the subject. It is very likely that there might be an issue with the hard drive. If this is the case I'd recommend that you try it first with another computer - either internally or externally and if it is recognized, backup your important data ASAP. After that download the manufacturer's diagnostic tool and test the drive to see what's the situation.

Thanks for the reply , h/disk fine works well ,i was getting the splash screen until i tried the sug in the forum now its just a black screen , cannot even get anything on f2 , so now i am completly stuck

Did you test the drive? How did you find out that it is working fine? It doesn't get quite clear from your post. Would you please explain what you did?
