I was on the internet I have a Gateway windows 8 and it froze and then it restarted and then it said attempting repairs so I'm thinking its corrupt files is there anyway that I can uncorrupt these files. The computer than a year old

In my opinion, it could be a virus.

Try to boot in safe mode and restore to a previous date.

It's been in automatic repairs for hours now. There has to other options

I admire your patience, often in a woman seldom in a man. Had I been you, I would have screamed: "God give me patience, and you better hurry up!"

As a last resort, I would try a out of the box factory restore. You would lose all of your data but it's better than a computer that just sits there trying to repair.
