Toshiba Satellite L750/L755D black screen

Hi my Toshiba Satellite L750/L755D wont work.All I have is a black screen with a non flashing cursor.I have tried resetting the bios to default settings..still the same..I have tried turning off and pressing 0 still the same.I have Toshiba recovery discs but when I put it in still the same? Please help

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
