Headphone are not working on windows 7

I have Assembled Desktop with 1.6GHz Dual Core Processor 32 bit Windows 7 Operating System with 2GB RAM.

The Problem is when i plug my headphone's to my computer it doesn't recognize the headphone. my headphone is working on my phone and my other friend's computer but not on my computer.

What should i do? Please Guide? i would really appreciate any help you could Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you using the front plugs or the rear (motherboard) plug?

It's probable that you have miss-wired the audio cable that connects to the case. I suggest you review the MB instructions and reconnect the cable.

I tried both front and rear plugs both of them didn't work.

I suggest you install the drivers that came with the Motherboard. It's possible that you do not have an audio chip driver installed.
No Its Not That Problem any thing else u have got?
