Hello, try this:
# Download USB Fix on your computer, and launch it.
# It will start automatically, and a shortcut will be created on your desktop.
# Connect all your external data sources to your PC (Usb keys, external drives, etc...) Do not open them.
# Choose " Deletion " option.
#The computer will re-start, and it may be longer than usually.
# UsbFix will display a message at re-start.
# Click "OK" to start cleaning.
# Copy/paste the report here.

Hey,
If the drive spins and seams technical ok you can try to recover the data. First its a good idea to make a byte wise clone copy. 'Free easis drive cloning' or R-Drive are good choices.
For the data recovery task I make some good experiences with:
R-Studio https://www.r-tt.com/
PCInspector http://www.pcinspector.de/
Recuva https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva
TestDisk https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk
Data Lifesaver http://www.easis.com/easis-data-recovery.html
Good Luck

Hey yanick013. I'm sorry to hear you're having such issues with your drive. This might have happened, if the drive was not "safely removed" or disconnected while transferring data or something else might have corrupted the partitions. It looks like the drive is shown as not initialized. This is not good, because most data recovery programs won't recognize it and be able to recover data from drives which are not initialized. This is also the reason why DLG can't perform the tests on the drive. You could try the basics before anything else, e.g. try the drive with a different USB cable (not longer than 12") because yours might have become faulty, try it with a different computer to see if the same thing happens etc. After that I'd recommend that you try accessing the drive via Linux Live USB/CD to see if you're able to recover your data from it this way.
Hope this helps.

No virus was shown. USBFix did not even see the drive.
Boogieman WD's answer seems to be correct. Your disk seems to be corrupted or physically damaged.
Sorry

Are you talking about the old drive or the new drive? Which one is not working?
If it's the new drive, then I'd recommend that you reinstall the USB drivers to see if it fixes the issue. Also you should test it with DLG as well to see if there's anything wrong with it.

After plugging in the device, go to device manager (In run type "devmgmt.msc") In Device manager go to "Universal serial bus controllers" It should list the storage devices that you have connected to your PC. Right click and then click "Uninstall. Remove the USB drive and restart your system.
Try connecting the device again
