Hard disk not showing

Hello,


i have a WD 1TB hard disk
suddenly it stopped showing up in my computer after i rebooted one day

i tried it on many other machines and tried many things but it didnt work

whether it is showed in device manager & in BIOS?..

i dont know hot to go to bios setup i just see it in device manager

Hello,
Press F12 or Del key continuosly after pressing the power button... it shows like this...

You didnt see it in BIOS? Try to fix the Hard drive properly with IDE cable and power supply

Hi there,

Does it appear in Disk Management? To access it, right click on the Computer icon and then choose Manage. If it does appear, does it have the proper file format? When connected, can you hear some noises, coming from the drive? If you have tested it on many machines and if the drive is not visible in BIOS, unfortunately, it may have failed. If you have warranty left, I recommend you to call the reseller and get a drive replacement.

my warranty paper is lost sadly

but when i plug in my hard disk i hear a bit of scratching for few seconds then its stops

its like the reading stopped or something

as i mentioned i can see i and device manager and device management

Well, you could follow the link below to check your warranty status. Those noises you describe sound a bit disturbing. They can indicate some mechanical issue. I recommend you to use Data Lifeguard Diagnostic, the WD diagnostics tool, to check your drive for errors. I leave you a download link below.
