You didnt see it in BIOS? Try to fix the Hard drive properly with IDE cable and power supply

Hi there,
Does it appear in Disk Management? To access it, right click on the Computer icon and then choose Manage. If it does appear, does it have the proper file format? When connected, can you hear some noises, coming from the drive? If you have tested it on many machines and if the drive is not visible in BIOS, unfortunately, it may have failed. If you have warranty left, I recommend you to call the reseller and get a drive replacement.

Well, you could follow the link below to check your warranty status. Those noises you describe sound a bit disturbing. They can indicate some mechanical issue. I recommend you to use Data Lifeguard Diagnostic, the WD diagnostics tool, to check your drive for errors. I leave you a download link below.
