My practise equipment is a Toshiba Satellite laptop (A215-S4757) ..what I would like to do is upgrade the OS from Vista Home Premium 32 bit to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit ..I have verified with MS Windows 7 upgrade advisor and rec'd a report .. and have repaired what they stated was required.
However, when I checked downloads here on Kioskea it provide me with only Win 7 Ultimate ..I'm hesitant to download because 1. really not certain it can be installed ..2. can I activate it ...or should I just purchase the OS update from Staples/Bestbuy ...I really wanted to experiment myself ????

I would just skip to Windows 8.1 since you can't buy the Home version of Win 7 anymore. Or better yet wait until June when Windows 10 will come out. Or you can become a Beta tester for Microsoft and download a copy of Win 10.
Windows is not free and any download will not allow you to register the copy with Microsoft.
